Rest in peace and power Kinan. Alaa’ you are a radiant soul. Thank you for writing through it all. I am so sorry we have not yet broken the siege. I hope your dream and our collective dream comes true soon.
I know that words will never be enough to soothe the hunger you feel nor the pain you suffer. I also know that my prays are joined with others, that your prays, your faith, are heard by God as ours support yours. I am ashamed, and disgusted for the lack of help given to stop the insanity inflicted on you and all of Palestine. Evil fails even when it appears to be winning, the people who suffer under the evil of this world will always stand victorious for eternity by the hand of God. You do not weep alone.
Salam Kinan. Your beautiful and resilient and powerful mother was chosen by Allah to stay behind because she has some more teaching to do for the rest of us who wants to learn and grow and inspire and spread her light wherever we go. She is one of the brightest light in Gaza and her light is spreading near and far. Vanishing darkness left and right. She is in pain but she stands tall like a lighthouse, facing all hardships and trials with strong will that no storm is powerful enough to destroy her. She is rooted deep in her beliefs and Allah and his Rasool (peace and blessings be upon him) are her anchors. She stands fierce in the face of adversity and her light only brightens with each day that brings nothing but sorrow and pain. Alhamdullilah for her and her light. Kinan- we love your mother - who is light upon light. 🤍♥️
Words fail me just as a witness of this cruelty, and yet you are still able to find such strong eloquent and loving words in the midst of such suffering and horror. I wish our leaders were listening. Many of us are screaming too: protesting, writing to MPs begging them to act, sending money to charities, supporting people we know in Gaza to earn money in other ways. But they are not listening to us either. Instead they call protestors terrorists and imprison them. We, too, are learning a lesson, that what we want and our humanity doesn't matter to them at all. All that matters to them is money and power, which one can't eat or drink, or breathe. We are seeing the face of evil everywhere. To me it feels as though our rulers are using Gaza as a warning to all of us who won't be cowed and who resist. I am so, so sorry. I too hope and pray for a miracle every day.
My heart is feeling both great sorrow & joy after reading these beautiful words from your wounded heart. My heart breaks over the vicious killing of beautiful Kinan and his three siblings. They deserved to live a full life & you deserved to witness it & rejoice in it. All children deserve security, water, sustenance, freedom, respect, and love. Humanity is failing miserably at present...💔🙏🙏
My mama's heart goes out to you.
And my mama's heart is also joyous that for the short time Kinan & his siblings were living, they were blessed with a very conscious and present mama. I am proud of you for truly seeing your children and enjoying all that motherhood entails. Thank you for keeping you heart soft and open & encouraging your children's brilliant spirits to shine bright. It's quite evident in Kinan's photo.🥰 Love is infinite!♾️ May you continue to feel Kinan's energy and love forever. His spirit has only changed from form to pure energy. Where can he possibly go where you cannot love him?
This is so heartbreaking and no matter what amount of words I take out of my vocabulary box to counsel you, I'd never be able to understand what you go through everyday.
I love kinan. Your words made me understand how beautiful he was. Full of dreams, full of giggles, full of his little wishes. Mother, you are very strong. I sit here with no mother and you sit there with no child. Our situations are completely different, but we know the loss of a loved one.
But never, will I be able to understand how Kinan would change the world because he was never given a chance.
May God bless you and ease your pain. May He soothe your heart with His love descending directly where it hurts for you. Amen.
My dear sister Alaa’ may your dreams come to fruition. May Allah (SWT) reward you for the trial that you bear for His Sake . You are light upon light , my sister, and I love how beautifully you are able to convey your hope, your strength, even in the darkest of circumstances. May your children be intercessors for you , may you be reunited with your children in Jannah. May Allah(SWT) bring comfort to your heart. My sister, I love reading about your children, how fierce and true your love for them is. The pain , the grief, and the unrelenting love echoes in every word you write. May you be granted ease and comfort in this world and may your dreams come to fruition and may you be reunited with your loved ones and with our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in the highest ranks of Jannah. Ameen suma Ameen.
My heart is touched after reading this story and your son Kinan seemed to be an amazing child. I am so very sorry for everything you have endured and I pray this despicable genocide ends. Despite everything nothing can or should ever remove the memory of your beautiful boy Kinan. Thank you this story is remarkable.
My heart is breaking for you all. I've been crying all morning. Somehow I must go to work. And try and heal people whose hearts are also breaking. And every time I eat something I feel I want to share it with you.
Money is tight right now but at least we can have more or less what we want in comparison.
Sending love and hope that we will get through this and the siege will be broken very soon.
The love you hold for your son radiates through every line. And though I cannot imagine the weight of your grief, I can feel the fierce tenderness and power of your heart.
Kinan lives in your words.
In the delicate way you describe his rituals with fruit.
In the haunting questions you ask of yourself.
And in the strength you continue to show amid unimaginable cruelty.
He shines through every sentence.
Not as a memory fading into shadow, but as a light burning brighter against the darkness that surrounds you.
What you wrote is not just a mother’s lament—it is a sacred testimony.
A testimony of enduring love.
Of a loss that should never have happened.
Of a people being starved and silenced.
And of a dream that refuses to die, even under the weight of genocide.
You have given voice to a grief the world has tried so hard to ignore, and in doing so, you have given Kinan—and so many others—a voice that echoes across the silence.
Please know that somewhere, far from Gaza, your pain is felt.
Your love is witnessed.
And your strength reverberates through the hearts of those who refuse to turn away.
I carry the name Kinan with me now. He is not forgotten.
May your dreams of peace reach the morning, and may justice rise with the sun.
Dear Kinan, may God bless your soul, your siblings and your mother. Dear Alaa’ May God give you strength to continue dreaming and that our dreams come true‼️😰😱🍀💐
Dearest Sister Alaa, I am just discovering your blessed writing now thanks to the recommendation of our dear sister Farah Al Sharif. You are firmly in my heart and prayers and I ask God to honor and elevate you and your beautiful family. I pray I can thank you in person one day insha'Allah for your beauty and wisdom. Ameen.

Words fail. My heart is with you. If the genociders aren't stopped, any of us can be in your shoes. Nobody is safe from such evil.
